Four months after the tragedy, the Netherlands pays tribute to victims of the MH17 flight of Malaysia Airlines killed in eastern Ukraine. A ceremony was held in Amsterdam in the presence of the highest authorities of the country. Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the Dutch royal couple attended along with hundreds of relatives of the victims. In the center, 298 candles in memory of the 298 who died in the disaster. Among them, 193 were of Dutch nationality.
Officially, the light is still not done on the causes of the crash. The Ukrainian authorities and Western countries accuse the pro-Russian separatists. The international investigation conducted had to be interrupted because of the upsurge in violence on the ground. Last Saturday, five coffins were still returning to the Netherlands. Nine bodies still missing. The head of the Dutch Foreign Minister has warned that these bodies may never be found.
