The leader of the Shiite opposition, Sheikh Ali Salman, remain at least 15 more days behind bars. He is accused of incitement to hatred and violence in the kingdom to Shiite majority led by the Sunni Al-Khalifa dynasty. The 49 year old man was arrested on 28 December, which angered many of his supporters who demonstrate regularly since.
