"We managed to agree on the essentials", welcomed Vladimir Putin. The Russian president has nothing formally signed himself. But the good will seems already there:
"We call on both sides to show restraint and to do everything to ensure that the withdrawal of troops and heavy artillery proceeds without further casualties and without bloodshed, that no one wants. We agreed with President Poroshenko to give the order. I am ready to do my part, also for our military experts determine what is happening on the ground ".
The separatist leaders, who as envoy Kiev signed the text, have their side felt that the agreement could be hope for a "peaceful solution" to the conflict.
