51 killed and 33 missing in the margins of police operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The NGO Human Rights Watch accuses Kinshasa police have carried out extrajudicial executions in a wide antibanditisme operations against gangs called "Kuluna."
Ida Sawyer investigated on behalf of Human Rights Watch and the evidence it has collected his overwhelming.
"They went from one neighborhood to another in search of people suspected of being members of Kuluna perfect and innocent have been targeted," she said. "In some cases, they pulled young men from their homes and many were beaten and humiliated in front of their families and neighbors, and in some cases they were executed."
The Human Rights Watch focuses on large antibanditisme operations conducted by the police in Kinshasa between November 2013 and February 2014.
"They left with my son" a mother testifies November 3, 2014. "And now it's been a year since they took it, and it still has not come back."
In response to the report by Human Rights Watch, Congolese authorities have provided a list of thirty policemen convicted for their behavior during these operations for five to murder.
