At least four people were killed Tuesday in an attack on a synagogue in the neighborhood of Har Nof in Jerusalem. According to police, there are also several wounded, some in critical condition.
The two attackers were Palestinians. Armed with knives and a pistol, they entered the synagogue before being killed by police.
This attack comes at a very high tensions in the Middle East, with violent clashes between Palestinian militants and Israeli police. There have been several attacks ram car, or a knife in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and the West Bank. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, every time, denounced "terrorist attacks."
These tensions are related to the settlement policy pursued by Israel in the Palestinian territories. And then there is the issue around the mosques, located in East Jerusalem. Palestinians accuse Israel of desecration of this holy place for Muslims.
