Some spontaneous rallies were held in Amman; our correspondent in Cairo was there to hear some reactions:
"All Jordanians are Mouath al Kassaesbeh said a man, and we will soon have our revenge, revenge for all Muslims who were killed by the Islamic State, who claim Islam but who have nothing to do with Islam. "
"I feel a lot of pain, says another, not just for this driver, but for what is happening in the Muslim nation, for all the victims of this terrorist group."
Prayers were said in several places of worship and hundreds of people came to offer their condolences to the family of the driver in his hometown of Karak.
Our dispatched Mohammed Shaïkhibrahim:
"This is the anger and sadness that dominate here in Jordan, but calls for a strong hand were also heard, because this is how the pilot was killed that shocked here."
