The Ukrainian military announced Thursday morning that five Ukrainian soldiers were injured in the last 24 hours while continuing the offensive separatist around Debaltseve, a strategic town 50 km north of Donetsk and still held by government forces.
In Donetsk, the local authorities said that at least five people were killed on Wednesday, and a hospital and six schools were damaged by bombing.
