Halt to peace talks with the FARC in Colombia.

President Juan Manuel Santos has decided to suspend the negotiations, ongoing for nearly two years.

At issue: the removal of a general in the west of the country yesterday.

A poor region, which borders the Pacific, where are located several illegal groups with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

The main rebellion in the country has not claimed the kidnapping, but strong suspicions weigh on it.

The general was captured with another military adviser and the army.

President Santos demanded their release as soon as possible ... While the talks are expected to resume tomorrow in Cuba.

No cease-fire has been established in Colombia since 2012 ... Even though the FARC pledged to stop kidnapping civilians.
