Greece: day of reflection before the vote, atmosphere in the streets of the capital

On the eve of parliamentary elections in Greece, take the temperature in the streets of Athens. Greek voters for whom will they vote? Most have already made their choice. But 10% of voters will decide at the last moment, perhaps in the voting booth, like this woman:

"What a chaotic situation, what chaos! No one deserves my vote, no one can convince me ... I do not know ... Maybe there will be a miracle, but I no longer believe in miracles now. Politicians want only one thing, the power! "

Many young people do not see their future in a country that abandons them, as Tryfonas, 18 who will vote for the first time:

"There is no place for us, there is no growth. There are few jobs and for most, it's about being underpaid, behind a desk. Many of my friends work as a server. If you are young, creative and dynamic, you must leave the country. "

"The only thing I have in mind," said the young woman, "is that I have to leave the country. This is the reality. 250,000 young people have left Greece, not because they wanted to. it's not going well and we have to ask why. "

Tired by years of crisis and austerity, Greeks are anyway looking for a change.

Our correspondent, Apostolos Staikos, said: "it was a few hours before the opening of polling stations Sunday, but people are already thinking about next day; some are worried, others are afraid, but all hope that the new government will put an end to austerity. "
