In India, dozens of protesters demanding the resignation of the head of state of Chhattisgarh where the scandal occurred sterilizations loopholes. Shops and businesses were closed yesterday in Raipur, the capital of the state to escape the wrath of the opposition activists.
Saturday a doctor and his assistant have sterilized 83 women in five hours in unhygienic conditions. 13 women died. 14 others are in critical condition. India, which has made 4 million sterilizations since 2013, unfortunately is not the first tragedy in the matter.
