In the Sinai, a car bomb exploded late Tuesday afternoon outside a restaurant in the town of Al-Arish. 10 people were injured. This explosion has not been claimed, but Sinai is prey to numerous attacks by jihadist groups since the summer of 2013, for the removal of President Mohamed Morsi and the beginning of the bloody crackdown against the Muslim Brotherhood. These groups often target security forces.
On Thursday, three soldiers were killed after being forced out of a collective taxi near Al-Arish. Two policemen were also executed at the entrance of the city of Rafah.
Earlier in Cairo, a sound bomb exploded in the underground, spreading panic and making 16 wounded.
The military also announced that eight soldiers were missing from the "terrorist attack" of one of its ships off Damietta, in the Mediterranean. Yesterday, four attackers were killed.
