Bombshell for Phil Rudd, drummer of the hard rock band AC / DC. The New Zealand court on Friday dropped charges against him of conspiracy to murder. The police had announced the day before he was indicted for attempting to sponsor two murders. But the judicial authorities considered that there was insufficient evidence, as counsel for the musician who also said that the police had not consulted before the decision of the prosecutor charged.
Phil Rudd is however still prosecuted for drug possession and uttering death threats.
New Zealand police raided at dawn yesterday the drummer home in Tauranga. Phil Rudd who was born in Australia had joined the hard rock band in 1975. AC / DC, which has sold over 200 million records, was released in December a new album.
