In Georgia, the ruling coalition was on the verge of bursting Wednesday. Tuesday night, the Minister of pro-Western Defense Irakli Alasania, was sacked amid corruption investigation. He was accused of wanting to protect several suspects in his ministry. In response, the party of Free Democrats, especially Maia Panjikidze, Minister of Foreign Affairs, left the government, depriving it of a majority in parliament.
