Nigeria: 47 students killed in an attack attributed to Boko Haram

A suicide bomber killed at least 47 people dead and 79 injured in a public Secondary School Potiskum, Nigeria. Most victims are teenagers. According to police, a suicide bomber blew himself up Monday morning as students gathered before classes begin. This massacre was attributed to the radical Islamist group Boko Haram, whose name means "Western education is sin." Three Nigerian states including Yobe, where the attack occurred, were placed under martial law to deal with the insurgency of this group which has claimed more than 10,000 dead in five years.
