Nagorno-Karabakh: Azerbaijan Armenian military shot down a helicopter

Armenian military helicopter was shot down by the Azerbaijani forces. The incident occurred Wednesday in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, a separatist region mostly populated by Armenians. Azerbaijan ensures that the device, a combat helicopter Mi-24, tried to attack the positions of his army. Armenia Baku denied and threatened "serious consequences."

This is one of the most serious between the two countries since the cease-fire signed in 1994 clashes.

In recent months attacks on each other have killed dozens of people. Attached to Azerbaijan during the Soviet era, Nagorno-Karabakh was the issue of a war that has 30,000 people and forced hundreds of thousands of people to the exodus between 1988 and 1994.
