Jordan recalled its ambassador to Israel after incidents in East Jerusalem

New clashes rocked Wednesday morning in East Jerusalem on the ultra-sensitive site of the Temple Mount. Opponents of Israeli police clash with Palestinians in anger against a proposed Jewish extremists to visit this mecca of Islam. Demonstrators apparently holed up in the mosque threw stones at Israeli security forces, which they entered a few meters inside the shrine.

Mahmoud Al-Habbash adviser to Palestinian President denounces religious issues "invasion". "Today, for the first time since 1967, Israeli forces invaded the mosque with their shoes. They walked on the carpet in the mosque with their shoes. The continuation of this invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is an alert for a religious war "

The Israeli security forces control access to the site, but the plaza is managed by a foundation under Jordanian control. Jordan has also ordered Wednesday the recall of its ambassador to Israel to protest against what it calls Israeli violations and announced that she would take the United Nations Security Council.
