France: violence punctuated by student demonstration

They were marching in the quiet, but today in Paris a demonstration of students has escalated. One hundred of them are separated from the main procession and attacked the police cars.

For several days, the French students did not took off against the police, which they denounce violence.

These are new revelations about the death of environmental activist Remi Fraisse who have revived their anger. Recordings of conversations of police that night prove that they knew immediately that the young man was dead. However, his death will be announced 48 hours later, via a press release stating that a body had been found.

The tragedy occurred on the night of October 25 to 26 on the dam Sivens in Tarn. Clashes broke out between police and environmental activists trying to block the work. It is a grenade thrown by the police who killed Remi Fraisse.

This project already strongly contested before the death of the young man, for the time being suspended.
