An impressive plume of smoke and ash. We are in Costa Rica before the Turrialba volcano currently erupting, the highest since 1996. The authorities ordered the evacuation of villages within a radius of two kilometers because of gas releases and volcanic dust, which even reached the capital San Jose, located about fifty kilometers. Consequently, the airport had to be closed Friday for 18 hours, which resulted in the cancellation of hundreds of flights.
"We had to take a flight to Charlotte and then be transferred to New York, Chicago and Pittsburgh. But the flight was canceled until Monday, '' laments that American tourist.

Meanwhile, fans can continue to enjoy the vagaries of the Turrialba volcano.
