Another tragedy took place at Damasak in Nigeria, according to residents. They claim that after the city was conquered by the army, there are about ten days, fighters of the radical Islamist group Boko Haram have kidnapped more than 400 women and children and killed dozens more.
"The number of soldiers was not enough to protect everyone," said one witness.
Damasak which is located near the border with Chad had been recaptured by the army. Other sources indicate that these are troops from Chad and Niger who had released.
The city is located in Borno State, the most severely affected state since 2009 by Boko Haram, which, moreover, vowed to prevent the proper conduct of the presidential elections on 28 March.
