Merkel, Hollande and Rajoy on the scene of the crash of the A320

Francois Hollande, Merkel and Mariano Rajoy went near the scene of the tragedy.


Francois Hollande and German Chancellor arrived in the early afternoon by helicopter Seyne-les-Alpes few miles from the crash site. They were joined by the Spanish government leader Mariano Rajoy arrived by road.


The three European leaders by turns praised the police and emergency mobilized since yesterday, before giving a joint press conference broadcast live on television.


"We expect to German victims but also those of other countries. This is a tragedy and our presence here shows again, "said German Chancellor.
