Family Kayla Mueller broken heart. The US humanitarian held hostage by the Islamic State group is dead. The White House confirmed the death Tuesday in a statement, without detailing the circumstances of his death that the jihadists had announced Friday.
Kayla Mueller was 26 years old. She had been abducted in northern Syria, Aleppo in August 2013. In early 2014, she wrote a letter to his family from his place of captivity, she ensured that even in prison, it can be free.
According to the Islamic state group, Kayla Mueller died in a bombing of the aviation coalition to a position outside of the city of Raqa.
Raqa which is located about 200 km east of Aleppo, is regarded by jihadists as the capital of their self-proclaimed caliphate.
