Australia: a report on the hostage recommends tougher immigration laws

The taking of hostages in Sydney, a good reason for the Australian government to tighten a little more immigration laws.

This Sunday was released the first report on this episode that resulted in the death of two people more than the hostage taker.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott:

"This monster should not have to be in our community. It should not have to have permission to enter the country. He would not have had parole. He would not have had a weapon and radicalized. All these things would never have happened. "

Man Haron Monis, an Iranian refugee suspected of killing his ex-wife, received Australian citizenship in the late 90s.

The report on the hostage crisis suggests that the balance between individual freedom and community protection should be reviewed.
