The Barbapapa mourn their dad: Talus Taylor died in Paris


All Barbapapa of the world convey the sad news with tears in his eyes: their dad, the American Talus Taylor, died in Paris. The co-creator of the popular children's series was so discreet that just learned his death. His disappearance goes back to February 19, Talus Taylor was 82 years old.


Originally from San Francisco, California, author of Barbapapa created these funny characters with his French wife, Annette Tison. For the record, it's during a walk in the romantic streets of Paris that the couple had in the idea. Talus, hearing a child who claims cotton candy to his parents do not understand the meaning but finds the funny word. The first born Barbapapa immediately drew on the tablecloth restaurant.


Barbapapa, very soft pink hero, well-rounded and changed in shape he wishes, will soon start a family: Barbamama, who is black, will give him seven colored children, four boys and three girls, each with a strong personality. The Barbapapa first lived their adventures, from 1970, through children's literature; ten albums was released. Then the series was adapted into a cartoon, with such success that a hundred episodes were broadcast on French television. International success followed since Barbapapa stories have been translated into more than thirty languages, including neighboring countries such as English, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, but also in Arabic, Turkish and in Hebrew, and even Chinese and Japanese.
