After the taking of hostages and after release of all visitors still in the museum, a spontaneous demonstration took place outside the building, bringing together Tunisian and foreign, like a sudden impulse rejection of terrorism and support forces.
The seventeen tourists killed are four Italians, one French, two Colombians, five Japanese, a Pole, an Australian, a Spaniard, as the final assessment given by the Tunisian Prime Minister.
