The Russian president appeared in public with his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev Monday near St. Petersburg. "We would be bored if there was no gossip," said the head of the Kremlin told reporters.

Russian state television has broadcast footage of Putin presented as dating from Friday when he was seen with the President of the Supreme Court. But that did not stop the rumors, especially on social networks.
