In Antwerp, Belgium, 200 people claiming the anti-Islam movement Pegida attended a rally last night, though prohibited by the municipality. Police deployed in numbers, has made ten arrests for disturbing public order and assault and battery. The demonstrators, who had to present their ID, will also receive an administrative sanction.
Event also in Germany, in Dresden, the cradle of Pegida. It was the 17th weekly rally since late October. The move, which was somewhat breathless after the resignation of several of its leaders, has taken some force, as they were more than 6,000 yesterday to march against 2,000 there a month.
Last Saturday it was in Newcastle that the anti-Islam movement had made about him. 800 people attended the first event of Pegida UK. A demonstration against-but met twice more participants.
