The anger of the Villarrica volcano continues to rise and violent eruption worries the Chilean authorities. The alert is changed to red during last night because the Villarrica spits fire and ash and Pucon threat is at his feet. More than 3,600 residents of the city, located in the province of Cautin, southern Chile, have already been evacuated.
The volcano, one of the most active of the country is under constant surveillance because it rejects every day smoke and ash. This time, Chilean experts believe that its seismic activity increased rapidly and "considerably". The ashes now fall on an area of about three miles around. President Michelle Bachelet has held an emergency meeting at La Moneda Palace in Santiago. It has to go there, near Pucon, in the day.
