The Contact Group on Ukraine gathered in Minsk on Tuesday, the day before a highly anticipated summit, but surrounded by uncertainties, reached an agreement on a cease-fire in eastern Ukraine. This is what has been announced in the evening to a source quoted by the Russian news agency Tass.
The Contact Group on Ukraine consists of representatives of Kiev, Moscow, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and separatists. They would also reached agreement on a heavy weapons withdrawal plan.
