The medical assistance to die authorized by the Supreme Court of Canada

The Supreme Court of Canada granted this Friday medical help to die, invalidating a former judgment which it considers contrary to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Assisted suicide is limited to adults who are affected by serious and irreversible health problems, causing them intolerable suffering. This decision of the Court will be suspended for twelve months, however, the time for provincial governments to make the necessary adjustments.
