Al-Qaeda in Yemen has lost one of its leaders in a US drone attack. This is al-Hareth Nadhari killed with three other members of Al-Qaeda
for the Arabian Peninsula on January 31 in the Yemeni province of Shabwa.
Al-Nadhari an authority on Sharia, is one of the few public figures of AQAP.
He appeared Jan. 10 in a video where he threatened France further attacks after that perpetrated against the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and saluted the work of Kouachi brothers.
Al-Nadhari was in a car when the drone struck. He was found charred. This is a statement issued today by AQAP confirming his death.
The US led three drone strikes in Yemen after the attacks in France.
AQAP is considered the most dangerous branch of al Qaeda, they offer $ 45 million reward for the capture of eight leaders of the group.
This is another AQAP leader Nasser bin Ali al-Anassi which claimed the attack against Charlie Hebdo. January 7 in Paris, the brothers Kouachi killed 12 people.
