Poroshenko: 'Peace is still far'

"No one is firmly convinced that the peace agreements signed in Minsk will be strictly enforced."



'' Peace in Ukraine is still very far away. '' Petro Poroshenko acknowledged Friday before military in Kiev. Given the struggles of the last few hours in the separatist regions, Ukrainian President was particularly cautious about the chances of ending the conflict. The day before, in Brussels, he had already expressed his distrust of Russia.


"Let no one be deceived (...) There is still a long and difficult way to go before reaching peace. No one is firmly convinced that the peace agreements signed in Minsk will be strictly enforced. "


For its part, the Kremlin said that the Russian, Ukrainian, French and German leaders remained in contact and a telephone conversation would take place soon, maybe Saturday night, a few hours before the entry into force of the cease -fire. Moscow hoped the respect of all the points of the agreement signed in Minsk.
