Pictures of Fidel Castro are published in dribs and drabs. While previous dated back to August, they were taken on 23 January and were broadcast by Cuban media on Monday night. They show the former leader with the President of the Federation of University Students in Havana Randy Perdomo.
It is this young man who had read last week a letter from Fidel Castro, in which he said he did not trust the United States without rejecting the reconciliation between Havana and Washington.
The publication of these pictures comes as the father of the health of the Cuban revolution, 88 years old, was the subject of new rumors.
