Obama heads for cyber security

The President of the United States will participate in Palo Alto, California in a conference on cyber security, subject that concerns many companies facing the growing number of cyber attacks. This conference is organized by the White House at the University of Stanford. More than 1,000 people are expected.

It is expected that Barack Obama signed a decree encouraging private companies to share more information about their cyber atttaques threats. The President hopes to implement legislation that will then guarantee legal protection to providers of such information.

But after the scandal on US surveillance programs proved in 2013 by Edward Snowden, a former consultant of the NSA, the prevailing distrust. And so the conference also aims to restore trust between the Obama administration and the Americans.

Washington, after several computer attacks against large companies, notably against Sony attributed to North Korea, it is time to take the bull by the horns.
