Egypt has conducted Monday bombing in Libya against the positions of the Islamic State Group (EI). Aircraft of the Libyan army also participated in the raids. a Libyan source said that more than 40 jihadists were killed in these strikes. These raids could continue in the coming days.
This is an action in retaliation for the execution of Egyptian Coptic Christians beheaded by militants of the jihadist group.
From that Sunday night, Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi attended a national defense council. After the meeting, he promised to punish "adequately assassins." 7 days mourning was declared in Egypt.
The Islamic state group claimed the execution of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians who were kidnapped in Libya.

Egypt and France now casually refer to the Security Council of the UN for the adoption of new measures against the Islamic state.
