The people of Copenhagen are in shock. This Sunday, they wanted to express solidarity after the deadly attacks in the Danish capital.
The head of government, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, came to pray in front of the synagogue. She has sent his condolences to the representatives of the Jewish community.
"We are here, devastated, because a man who worked here was killed. We believe his family. We are on their side, but we also think the whole of the Jewish community of Denmark, which has its place in this country. "
Security had been tightened in Denmark after the attacks in Paris in early January.
The two attacks Saturday are the deadliest the country has ever known.
