In the fight against the mafia, two restaurants near the Pantheon in Rome were seized. The operation was a family of the 'Ndrangheta, the Calabrian mafia. The mafia is trying more and more to settle in Rome, recycling dirty money especially in the restaurant industry. A study of the main Italian farmers' union Coldiretti, at least 5,000 food places would be indirectly or directly controlled by the mafia in Italy.
