The roof of a cement plant under construction collapses in Bangladesh

Bangladesh is notorious for its industrial disasters. The roof of a cement plant under construction collapsed, killing at least six workers. A balance sheet that could rise as fifty other workers are under the rubble. The accident at Mongla largest port city in southern Bangladesh, may be due to the use of poor quality materials and non-compliance with building regulations. These are the most common causes of such tragedies, unfortunately too many in this country and in South Asia in general.

We remember the terrible collapse of a building of textile workshops nine-storey Rana Plaza in April 2013 in a suburb of Dhaka, he had 1,138 dead.
