The crackdown was launched early this morning in several Spanish cities.
The Interior Ministry said the suspects "called for the commission of terrorist acts in Spain" and "jihad were selecting candidates to send to Syria and Iraq."
Other arrests took place in Avila, Ciudad Real and Girona.
Four people have been arrested in late January and two more on Thursday.
The Spanish authorities estimate that a hundred of their nationals are in Iraq and Syria. It is little, compared to thousands of French and British and Germans who work with terrorist groups there.
