In Sydney Lindt Café reopened to the public this Friday. It is here that three months ago a man took hostage 18 people for several hours. Two of them were killed. Commemorative plaques honor the victims of the attack that deeply shocked Australians. They were also many queuing outside. For them, this sounds like a re-opening victory against terrorism.
"It's fantastic, it's good to see that. They were brave enough to reopen the store. The opposite would have been devastating, '' said the man.
On 16 December, police launched the assault in the Lindt Cafe. The terrorist, an Islamist Iranian origin with vague claims, was killed. It was the end of a hostage crisis that lasted nearly 16 hours.
