Madison, Ferguson, Selma racial issue and police violence

In the US, police shot and killed a young black man, this Friday night at Madison in Wisconsin. The police officer broke into the apartment where the young man was located after being alerted to suspicious noises.

There would have been a fight, and it was at that time that the fatal shot was fired. The young man, aged 19, was apparently unarmed.

This drama immediately sparked angry demonstrations in Madison.

This comes two days after the publication of a report denouncing discrimination practiced against blacks by Ferguson font. In this city of Missouri, a white police officer killed an unarmed young Black in August 2014.

50th anniversary of the march from Selma

The racial issue seems to return once more to the United States. And US President has to say on the subject Saturday. Barack Obama is expected to Selma, Alabama to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the march for civil rights.

It was March 7, 1965, hundreds of peaceful demonstrators were violently repelled by the police. This day is known as "Bloody sunday" ("Bloody Sunday"). But other steps would follow in the following weeks, eventually leading to the granting of voting rights for African Americans.
