First successful step for Solar Impulse 2

2 Solar Impulse, the solar airplane, landed Monday night in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, after a flight safely left thirteen hour earlier Abu Dhabi.

The device as light as a 4X4, began a tour of the unprecedented world to promote clean energy. It works not with fuel, but with 17,000 solar cells that feed four propeller engines. Its wings are almost as large as those of an Airbus A380.

The plane has to travel 35,000 kilometers in total at a speed below 100 km / h. Twelve steps are planned for this round the world. The next stop will be in Ahmedabad in western India.
