One of the wives of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is interrogated at the headquarters of the Lebanese Ministry of Defence. According to a senior official of the administration, the arrests took place here nine days as they entered northern Iraq from Syria. Other sources speak of a detained son.
DNA tests were performed to confirm that it was indeed a child of Al Baghdadi, according to the ministry official.
The arrests come at a time that a large international coalition supporting Kurdish fighters in a struggle without thank you against the jihadists. The organization Islamic state has taken hold in recent months large parts of northern Syria and northwestern Iraq. The jihadists have proclaimed it a caliphate and implemented sharia.
