Indonesia: 10 years after the tsunami, a tribute to 220,000 vicitmes of the disaster


Religious services in Aceh to honor the 170,000 dead or missing victims of the tsunami in Indonesia. On 26 December 2004, a massive earthquake off Sumatra caused a huge tidal wave.

Dozens of villages will be wiped out.


In India, more than 16 000 people died. Moreover, there are approximately 730,000 displaced, the vast wave that swept many homes.
