The Italian Parliament adopted the "Jobs act", a controversial labor reform. At the heart of the debate, the amendment of Article 18 of the Labour Code, which protects employees against unfair dismissal.
The text has angered hundreds of thousands of protesters since late October. The law has even been amended to take account of this dispute.
The left wing of the Democratic Party (PD), the Head of Government Matteo Renzi, opposed the text, but it ruled in favor of the text because it was linked to a confidence vote that could have brought the majority.
This reform provides tax incentives for companies hiring permanent.
The new CDI are accompanied by "increasing protection." Clearly, the dismissal is facilitated first three years, then more and more complicated and expensive depending on the seniority of the employee.
