An attack on a building housing the local media in Grozny took place this morning, and at least six police officers and seven attackers were killed. There may have civilian casualties, and this is what is left of the building where the fighting took place.
The attack, just hours before the annual speech of Vladimir Putin to the Russian Nation, said that the security situation is still not stabilized in Chechnya, where the embers of violent separatism are not yet extinct.
Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen president, gave himself on his Instagram account closely watched, details of the attack. In October, five policemen were killed and twelve wounded in Grozny by a suicide bomber who activated its expenses while agents approached him for an identity check.
