Super storm in Australia, the Philippines typhoon expected

The west of Sidney hit by a great storm, hail, high winds, lightning ...

The Australian emergency services reported 7,000 people without electricity since Friday morning and hundreds of damaged homes.

Lightning struck six people and caused at least two fires.

Transport was paralyzed, including the tarmac at Sydney Airport. Flash floods have also affected some neighborhoods. And that's not all, this type of storm is expected to crack down on Saturday on the Australian metropolis.

But this is nothing compared to the typhoon that will befall the Philippines.

"Hagupit" threatens the eastern coast of the archipelago: tens of thousands of people have already evacuated coastal villages and areas prone to landslides in the center. Others made their reservations in stores.

All prepare for the worst, a year after the passage of Haiyan super typhoon that left more than 7,000 dead or missing and deprived of shelter four million people.

Some areas do are also not yet recovered and several thousand people are still living in tents or in makeshift shelters. Filipinos hope that the precautionary evacuations will save lives.
