Haiti: resignation of Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe


Haitian Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe announced Sunday on television and on his twitter account his resignation hours after new anti-government protests during which one person was shot dead.


Calls to his departure and that of President Martelly have multiplied in recent weeks.


The victim is a young thirty years according to police, who was accused by the protesters of being the cause of his death by bullets, that's what this man shouts in the crowd.


Incidents erupted yesterday in the demonstration in Port-au-Prince, the capital when hundreds of youths tried to force the dams of the police to get in front of the presidential palace.


Protesters demanding the return of the former Head of State Jean-Bertrand Aristide and some require the assistance of Vladimir Putin.


A tense atmosphere that comes a few weeks of the 5th anniversary of the terrible earthquake of 12 January 2010 that devastated Haiti already badly bruised and impoverished.
