Faced with financial difficulties of the candidates, the IOC reform the Olympics

The Olympic Games are expensive, so candidates are increasingly cautious. For the Winter Olympics in 2022, many cities have also withdrawn their candidature, only Beijing and Almaty, Kazakhstan, remain in the race.

In Monaco, the Olympic Committee has to take over the two days forty steps to reform the organization of the Games.

First change: the Olympic Games may exceptionally be held in several cities or countries. This multiplies the facilities to arise: in Paris, for example, when the town is reserved to a nomination for 2024, while the State and the Ile-de-France region are, which could help share the cost.

The IOC also wants to encourage the use of existing or temporary facilities.

The 127th IOC Session will be an opportunity to reframe the rules on doping.
