Francesco Palmeri, 61 was arrested in the United States at the request of the Italian authorities. It was identified as a member of the Gambino family, powerful criminal organization associated with the Mafia and based in New York. Seven other people, it would be involved in an international extortion case. It is an Italian businessman who is the victim. The mafia would have stolen nearly a million.
This case has been updated by chance, turning a survey focused on a drug trafficking network and money laundering involving families' Ndrangheta and Gambino.
