The former Prime Minister of Thailand is banned from politics for five years. The decision was made Friday by the National Assembly. Yingluck Shinawatra was forced to resign in May.
Meanwhile, the prosecutor announced that the ex-head of government would be prosecuted for corruption in a case concerning the rice sector.
